瞬時に人の記憶から失われるが、その建物と暮らしを土地は記憶しているのではないか。これは、その記憶を覗き見る装置である。
In a certain place, a building stands. After its role is done, it is taken down. Not long after, it fades out of our memories. However, does the land which it stood upon remember its existence and the people who lived there?
これは旧松本邸内にて催された、宝塚庭園芸術祭での現代アートの作品です。敷地が宝塚市と西宮市の境に位置する貴重な洋館であり、近代建築の保存活動の一環として催された芸術祭です。コンクリートブロックと音を用い、失った記憶を思い起こす装置を提案しました。
This installation is a device to “peep” into the land’s memory by using concrete blocks and sound. The work was created for the Takarazuka Garden Art Festival at the former Matsumoto residence.
